August 25, 2025: Hotel Motel Ordinance
The story
The Toccoa City Commission first put forward an ordinance setting operating requirements for hotels and motels in the city in January 2025.
The commission took up the ordinance again in August 2025, discussing it at a work session before it came before the full commission for consideration. Commissioners tabled the item at their August 11 meeting.
The commission reconsidered the ordinance two weeks later and adopted it at its August 25, 2025 meeting.
