At a December 22, 2025 work session, the Toccoa City Commission discussed long-term planning for replacing the water treatment plant. Commissioner Jamieson and Vice-Mayor Hellenga agreed to serve on a committee on the matter.
At a February 9, 2026 meeting, the commission again discussed the need for a new water treatment plant.
