The Habersham County Board of Education scheduled a special recognition of Level Grove Elementary School student Emma Jones and teacher Kathryn Ballard for its November 10 meeting.
At that meeting, Principal Aimee Shedd recognized Jones and Ballard for their calm and courageous response, with support from other staff, in saving a choking student in the lunchroom.
