In February, the Habersham County Board of Tax Assessors was informed of new state legislation regarding the election of a Chief Appraiser.

By late April, the board learned that House Bill 566 had been signed by the Governor, but a new assessment notice had not yet been set up in the county's WinGAP system. Senate Bill 33 remained on the governor's desk at that point.
