The Habersham County Board of Commissioners' January 21 agenda proposed filling three at-large seats on the Dangerous Dog Committee for the remainder of a two-year term ending June 30, 2026: Bruce Palmer as Commissioner Representative, Dr. Emily Allison as Veterinary Representative, and Jackie Hamby as Humane Society Representative.
At its January 27 meeting, the board voted 5-0 to appoint Commissioner Harkness, not Palmer, as the Commissioner Representative, and voted 5-0 to reappoint Dr. Emily Allison as the Veterinary Representative.
The board tabled the Humane Society Representative appointment the same day after Jackie Hamby was found no longer eligible.
