In August 2025, the Habersham County Parks & Recreation Advisory Board began discussing whether to allow half-day rentals on Fridays and Sundays so renters could set up and clean up around a Saturday facility rental, possibly limiting those hours to times when staff is on duty.
The board continued the discussion at its September and October 2025 meetings.
At its October 21 meeting, the board decided not to negotiate the Fairgrounds rental rules at this time, saying it would consider the change next year at budget time.
