The story

In February, the Habersham County Chief Appraiser told the Board of Tax Assessors that a final round of 2026 assessment notices would go out, with an appeal deadline of March 27 and Board of Equalization hearings set for March 9 and 10.

By mid-March, the board was told the 2026 digest growth figures: 2.35% under the "Realis" measure and 0.57% inflationary growth.
