The story
At its July 21, 2025 meeting, the Habersham County Board of Commissioners was asked to consider and approve a 2026 LMIG grant application and authorize the chairman to sign related documents. The board approved it 5-0.
Nearly a year later, on April 20, 2026, the board was asked to consider a separate 2026 Local Road Assistance (LRA) Administration Grant application, covering 4.47 miles and 0.65 miles of road work including resurfacing and guardrail replacement, with a 0% local match against amounts of $1,038,978.86 and $1,038,696.09 plus $282.77.
The board voted unanimously, 3-0, to approve the 2026 LRA grant application and authorized the chairman to sign all related documents.
