On March 24, 2026, the Habersham County Board of Tax Assessors' agenda listed 2026 Conservation Use Valuation Assessment applications for properties held as family farms, LLC's and LP's. The board voted unanimously to approve the Conservation Use applications for Family Farms, LLC's and LP's for Tax Year 2026.
At its May 12, 2026 meeting, the board voted unanimously to deny the 2026 CUVA applications for properties listed as Family Farms, LLC's and LP's, following a recommended denial by appraisal staff.
On May 26, 2026, the board's agenda carried separate listings for family farm/LLC approvals and denials. Minutes from that meeting show the board approved CUVA applications for some Family Farms, LLC's and LP's properties on appraisal staff's recommendation, and separately voted to deny CUVA applications for other Family Farms, LLC's and LP's properties on the county attorney's recommendation.
