A bid to let a landowner near Lavonia put up an accessory building without a house on the lot is off the table after the applicant pulled it.
The story
Roberto Zayas applied for a variance, V-2025-002, to build an accessory structure on a +/- 0.21-acre tract on Normandy Trail in Lavonia without a principal dwelling on the property. The Franklin County Board of Commissioners had it on its March 3, 2025 agenda.
Before the board took it up, the applicant's representative told the board that Zayas had emailed to withdraw the request.
