The story
In February, the Demorest Downtown Development Authority planned to take up the question of expanding the downtown district at its March meeting.
At its March meeting, the DDA voted unanimously to expand its footprint to include the Historic District and the corridor running from the Demorest City Cemetery on Old 441/Central Avenue to Yonah Memorial Gardens.
