The story

Demorest City Council held a revocation hearing for the alcohol license of Sunny Lahani, doing business as Chevron Foodmart (also known as Demorest Chevron) at 1405 Central Avenue, following an underage sale compliance violation. On January 14, 2026, council voted 4-0 to move forward with terms presented by Mr. Michell rather than revoke the license outright.
