In May 2025, Matt, owner of Sweet Acres, pitched the Cornelia DDA/Main Street Board on turning the brick building next to the amphitheater into an entertainment hub with a winery, restaurants, shops, and possibly a brewery and rooftop bar.

By August 2025, the City Commission had approved leasing the building to the DDA via quit claim, and the DDA board voted to revisit the redevelopment proposal with Matt and Lindsey, the Sweet Acres owners, with no changes to the original terms.

On September 2, 2025, the City Commission voted 4-0 to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the DDA and transfer the property at 33 Rosa Parks Street to the authority; DDA minutes confirm the building was officially deeded to the DDA that day.
