At its February 4, 2025 meeting, the Cornelia City Commission discussed that Norfolk Southern needed to replace rail spurs where Solmax keeps its rail cars, because the spurs did not meet current standards.
By March 2025, the city manager's monthly report stated that Norfolk Southern had completed the Soul Max Rail Spur Replacement Project, clearing the way for grading work on the park.
