At a May 26, 2026 work session, Clarkesville City Council discussed Resolution 2026-4, a set of 2025 budget amendments. Finance staff member Julie Poole presented the preliminary amendments as preparation for the city's audit.
The council took up the resolution again on June 1, 2026. Minutes record that Council Member Don Nix made a motion to approve Resolution 2026-4 and that it passed unanimously; the meeting packet lists the vote as 4-0.
A later packet states that the June 1 vote lacked a quorum, requiring a re-vote. On June 17, 2026, the council took the matter up again, and minutes show Council Member Don Nix again moved to approve Resolution 2026-4, which passed 5-0.
