Baldwin council approves pursuit of GEFA loan for Mountain System waterline repairs

In a July 2025 work session, Baldwin's Public Works Director briefed the city council on recent issues in the Mountain System's waterlines, and council took up a discussion of possible improvements to the system.

Later that same evening, the Baldwin City Council voted 5-0 to authorize the mayor and city administrative officer to execute documents pursuing a loan from GEFA for Highway 441-Willingham waterline repairs, a project put at $545,000.

By November 2025, a GEFA Loan Resolution numbered 2025-10179R was placed on the council's agenda for ratification, though the record does not show the outcome of that vote.
