On March 25, 2025, the City Council unanimously accepted Gibson Contracting Services LLC’s quote to replace the bridge decking at the city park. The council also unanimously approved about $25,000 in SPLOST funds for a shaded three-bay, six-swing set in the park’s splashpad area; the minutes do not document construction or approval of a splashpad itself.
