In August 2025, the council voted to change the operating hours of the school zone speed cameras so they run from 7 to 9 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m., matching the hours the school zone flashing lights are on. The motion, made by Councilperson Augustine and seconded by Councilperson Weatherly, passed with Councilperson Franklin abstaining.
