Tallulah Falls tank proposal leaves Hickory Nut Mountain residents without a documented answer

The latest identified public reference to Tallulah Falls’ proposed replacement of the 10,000-gallon Hickory Nut Mountain water-storage tank came in an Aug. 8, 2024 agenda packet, which repeated material from 2021. The packet put the long-running question back in public view but did not record a new decision, construction start, contract award or completed replacement for the facility serving that part of the town’s water system.
