Georgia bills put Tallulah Falls school-zone camera program in question

Tallulah Falls Town Council unanimously approved using school-zone camera funds to buy a replacement emergency-notification system for Tallulah Falls School on March 9, 2023, after Mayor Early warned that two bills moving through the Georgia Legislature could sharply limit the town’s ability to use those cameras. The mayor said House Bill 301 could eliminate or substantially reduce the program, while House Bill 348 could narrow its operating hours and impose signage requirements.
