Tallulah Falls Trail Proposal Advances Only as Far as Scoping, Leaving Future Costs Unsettled

Tallulah Falls’ proposed Rails-to-Trails project remained a planning exercise, rather than a construction project, when the Town Council’s Sept. 14, 2023, agenda again described the Georgia Department of Transportation-led scoping work and its consultant, Atlas Technical Consultants. The agenda repeated the project’s preliminary scope but recorded no new vote, signed agreement, funding commitment or step toward building a trail.
