Tallulah Falls trail plan shrinks as council questions $70,000 local cost

Tallulah Falls’ proposed GDOT Rails-to-Trails project would need to be cut to roughly a half-mile to three-quarters of a mile to stay within its $350,000 scope, Mayor Early told the Town Council on Oct. 12, 2023. The smaller concept immediately raised doubts among council members about committing a proposed $70,000 town share for a trail whose location and final extent had not been identified.
