Tallulah Falls entrance sign project still pending after nearly a year

In September 2025, the Tallulah Falls Town Council reviewed a quote for new signage, including a proposal from Signs Express, but voted unanimously to table the discussion until more information was available.

The council took up the project again in October 2025, discussing an updated design and cost, with a preliminary estimated cost of around $15,000 per sign.

Gateway signage returned as old business in November 2025. Minutes noted the project involves two entrance signs and figures of $8,620 and $277.36, and that the town clerk was working with USDA and the Georgia Department of Transportation on the permits required for the signs.

As of June 2026, the project had not moved forward. A council member asked about the status of the two town entrance signs, previously discussed at a DDA meeting, and requested that the project move forward.
