Tallulah Falls Approved Backup Water Pumps, but Their Status Remains Unclear

Tallulah Falls Town Council unanimously approved spending $9,099.50 in American Rescue Plan funds on two spare American Water pumps on Jan. 18, 2023, creating a documented plan to keep backup equipment on hand for the town’s water system. More than three years later, however, the records tied to that decision do not establish whether the town ordered the pumps, paid for them, received them or put them into service.
