Tallulah Falls ties Main Street BBQ beer license to background-check clearance

The Tallulah Falls Town Council on Aug. 6, 2020, unanimously approved Jeffrey Cope’s beer-license application for Main Street BBQ and Grill, but attached a condition that could determine whether the approval took effect: a background check could show nothing beyond minor traffic offenses. Councilperson Hamilton abstained because of a potential conflict, according to the meeting minutes.
