Tallulah Falls budget proposal would give clerk flexibility inside department spending plans

Tallulah Falls placed a proposed Fiscal Year 2026 budget ordinance before the Town Council on June 12, 2025, with a provision that would allow the Town Clerk, acting as Budget Officer, to shift appropriations among line items within a single town department. The same proposal said a department could not spend beyond its overall appropriation without a budget amendment approved by the mayor and Town Council.
