Stephens County’s Aug. 13, 2026, work-session and called-meeting agenda again carried an entry referring to public hearings on the Tax Payer Bill of Rights held in July 2014. The latest listing is consequential because it places a 12-year-old tax-hearing reference in a current county meeting record, yet it does not describe a new hearing, a proposed tax action or a board decision.
