By March 2026, the county had construction quotes from five firms for the building, ranging from $184,500 to $288,875.19. At its March 10 meeting, the Board voted unanimously to postpone a decision until March 24 so staff could verify that all the quotes covered the same scope of services.
On March 24, 2026, the Board unanimously approved a $194,500 construction contract with Martin Construction & Grading, Inc. for the Coroner's building, with Coroner Kyle Johnson thanking the Board for the decision.
