On November 25, 2025, the Stephens County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the 2026 LMIG (Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant) application, authorizing the Chairman to sign the documentation and the County Administrator to submit the grant.
On April 14, 2026, the board unanimously approved a separate application, for the FY26 Local Road Assistance (LRA) grant.
