Royston Says Its Occupation-Tax Fee Schedule Needs Reworking Before Businesses Are Billed

Royston officials said in October 2024 that the city needs a new occupation-tax fee schedule, after determining that the gross-receipts schedule then in use had been developed before the governing ordinance. Officials said they would try to have a replacement schedule ready for a November meeting, with occupation taxes due Jan. 1, 2025.
