Royston approves $71,300 paving purchase for Carroll, Carlton and Shirley streets

Royston City Council unanimously approved a $71,300 purchase from Stratton & Sons Construction Inc. on July 14 for the city’s 2026 Asphalt Street Paving Project, moving planned paving on Carroll Street, Carlton Street and part of Shirley Street beyond the council-approval stage. The vote was 6-0 and covered a purchase that exceeded the city manager’s authority.
