Royston backs water-contract transfer after Madison County takes over system

Royston City Council unanimously voted July 8, 2025, to authorize execution of a consent contract tied to the transfer of an existing water-sales agreement to the Madison County Board of Commissioners. The 6-0 action followed Madison County’s assumption of control and operation of its water system on Jan. 1, 2025.
