Royston Approves Water Deal Renewal as Hart Authority Action Remains Unclear

Royston City Council voted 6-0 in November 2024 to approve a four-year renewal under which the city would continue selling water at wholesale to the Hart County Water Authority. City Manager Lanier Dunn presented the renewal, and the council acted on a motion by Councilman Fields, seconded by Councilman Phillips. The same council record said the authority had not yet approved the agreement.
