Royston approves targeted gas-rate change, but new charge remains undisclosed

Royston City Council unanimously approved an amendment to the proposed FY26 budget’s Rates and Fees Schedule on June 10, changing the natural-gas base-rate provision for agricultural contract customers who do not have a master meter. Councilman Phillips made the motion, and the minutes record a 6-0 vote.
