Lavonia receives $56,070 state transportation grant with no local match

Lavonia received a $56,070.84 supplemental Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant award from the Georgia Department of Transportation, according to the city manager’s report presented at the May 6, 2024 regular City Council meeting. The report says the state funding requires no matching contribution from the city.
