Lavonia residents still await documented restoration after sewer work disturbed yards

More than two years after two Lavonia residents brought complaints about sewer-line construction damage to City Hall, the public record still does not establish that their yards were restored. At the July 1, 2024 regular meeting of the Lavonia Mayor and Council, Bo Lowery and Buddy Chastain said the sewer-line contractor had left their properties in unsatisfactory condition and asked that the yards be returned to their earlier state.
