Lavonia Approved an Entertainment District, but Its Rules Remain Unclear

Lavonia City Council approved an ordinance to designate an Entertainment District for the city during its Feb. 5, 2024, regular meeting, according to the meeting minutes. Council member Eddie Floyd made the motion, Andrew Murphy seconded it, and the motion carried. The council also waived the ordinance’s second reading, allowing the approval to proceed without that additional reading recorded in the motion.
