Lavonia approves brew-pub alcohol rule change, pending legal review

Lavonia’s City Council approved an amendment to the city’s alcohol ordinance on April 1, 2024, to include brew pubs where customers may consume alcohol on the premises. The action, recorded in draft regular-meeting minutes, was made subject to legal review; council members also waived a second reading. Andrew Murphy made the motion and Michael Schulman seconded it.
