Lavonia council hears resident’s concerns over police contact with minors in Beaver Creek

At Lavonia’s March 4, 2024 regular council meeting, Tacara Jones asked the mayor and council what would be done after a February 15 police incident near the basketball court in the Beaver Creek Community that involved her minor daughter. The council minutes record her account and her concern about officers’ contact with minors, but do not record a vote, directive or final city response.
