Habersham Commission approves income-based rules for youth-sports scholarships

Habersham County commissioners unanimously approved an updated Parks and Recreation scholarship policy Feb. 17, 2025, adopting an eligibility matrix tied to federal poverty guidelines for families seeking help with youth-sports participation fees. The policy will be updated annually and permits scholarships to cover up to 75% of a participant’s costs.
