Habersham Put Old Courthouse Demolition Financing Before Three Governments, but Approval Remains Unclear

Habersham County commissioners unanimously amended the agenda for their Sept. 8, 2023 special called meeting to add a proposed intergovernmental agreement for temporary financing of demolition of the old courthouse. The item named Habersham County, the City of Clarkesville and the Habersham County Development Authority, putting all three public bodies into a potential short-term funding plan for the prominent county property.
