Habersham traffic-safety goal faces push to measure risk per resident

Habersham County Commissioner Woodall urged fellow commissioners at their Feb. 17, 2025 work session to reconsider the way the county measures progress toward reducing traffic deaths and serious injuries. Woodall said the target should be expressed as a per-capita rate, rather than as a simple numerical reduction, after asking whether the resolution’s existing goal was a total number or a rate and being told it was numeric.
