Habersham runway project still lacks documented grant approval

Habersham County officials considered a $3,173,729.45 package of Federal Aviation Administration and Georgia Department of Transportation grants for rehabilitation of Runway 6/24 at Habersham County Airport during their Oct. 12, 2023 regular meeting. The proposal included a county contribution of $185,266.55, but the meeting text does not clearly show that the grants were accepted by the Airport Commission or the Board of Commissioners.
