Habersham Airport Lighting Plan Stalls After Board Motion Draws No Second

Habersham County officials did not approve a proposed airport-lighting extension at their Aug. 10, 2023, meeting after a motion to approve the plans failed to receive a second and was rescinded. The proposal from HEMC called for extending lighting about 2,100 feet through the installation of 10 new utility poles at the county airport.
