Habersham County’s $70,926 airport-lighting expansion stalled without a vote

Habersham County’s proposed expansion of lighting near the airport stalled at the county’s Aug. 10, 2023 regular meeting, when a motion to authorize the HEMC plan received no second and was rescinded. The proposal called for about 2,100 feet of additional lighting and 10 new poles, with an estimated upfront cost of $70,926.
