The story
The Habersham County Board of Education has unanimously approved monthly financial reports as a routine part of its regular meetings, including the January and March 2025 reports.
The June 2025 and fiscal year-end 2025 reports were not approved on the usual schedule. The board tabled them at its July 28, 2025 meeting, then tabled them again on August 11 along with the July report, before unanimously approving all three reports together on September 8, 2025.
The board continued approving monthly reports through the rest of 2025 and into 2026, including September and December 2025 and February and March 2026, each on a unanimous vote.
The pattern repeated for the next fiscal year close: the board approved the May 2026 report in June, then tabled the June 2026 and fiscal year-end 2026 reports on July 27, 2026, before unanimously approving them at its August 10, 2026 meeting.
