Habersham tele-EMS proposal left patients’ potential new option unresolved

Habersham County commissioners considered a proposed agreement with Emory University on April 17, 2023, that could link county emergency services to the Emory Rural Tele-EMS Network. Emergency Services Director Jeff Adams said the service could give some patients a chance to speak with a doctor while preserving their option to be taken to a hospital. The meeting minutes, however, do not record whether commissioners approved the memorandum or took any final action.
