Habersham disability-exemption reviews could add doctors’ statements

Habersham County’s Board of Assessors recorded a March 27, 2023 motion to add five-year audits of physician statements to its policies and procedures for homeowners receiving the 100% Disabled Total School Homestead Exemption. The proposed medical-document review would accompany the board’s existing five-year income audits, according to the meeting minutes.
