Habersham County pauses Fairground contract language over legal questions
Habersham County commissioners unanimously tabled further action on Fairground-related contract language at their Sept. 16, 2025 meeting, sending the wording in related forms and the Fairground contract for deeper County review. The signed minutes say Terry Lannon will initiate work to clarify the language and obtain legal input before the issue returns for consideration.

The next public indication of progress would be a County agenda, meeting minutes or another County action reporting the legal input or bringing revised Fairground language back to commissioners. Until that occurs, residents and parties dealing with the Fairground do not know what text may change or when the commission will take up the question again.
