Habersham County airport officials said at their July 11, 2022 regular meeting that they were preparing to begin the bidding process for two connected efforts: hangar-site preparation and paving, and hangar construction. The action moved the airport’s hangar plans closer to a possible public procurement, but the meeting minutes do not show that bids were issued, a contractor was chosen or work began.
